The founder of Zamani (Graham Stewart Leslie) worked for the Aga Khan Development Network for several years. Activities based on Transformative Sustainable Change with knowhow to support public sector leadership of emerging economies.
The Aga Khan agencies are highly professional and leading practitioners in their field operating in over 30 countries employing over 80,000 people and providing direct funding from AKED (Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development) for development activities in excess of US$1Billion per annum.
Graham Leslie was on the Board of AKFED, Chairman of Tourism Promotion Services, Director of 7 AKFED Public Companies (TPSK, TPST, TPSZ, TPSP, TPSM, TPSA and Chairman of Geneva based TPSC and Director AKTC) including Chief Executive of Serena Hotels and resorts worldwide.
Graham previously launched the luxury Conrad Hotel brand, CMO Hilton Worldwide, CMO Exclusive Hotels and was the the lead Director for Tourism Master Plans for; Kenya, Mozambique, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, Syria, Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, Oman as well as tourism, heritage, culture, agriculture, health and education development programmes covering Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar including several South East Asian nations and Indian Ocean islands.
Zamani recently completed the Strategic Masterplan for Heritage Oman through Tourism, Matrah Fort Zone Heritage Regeneration Masterplan, and currently Heading the Stone Town Regeneration Programme in Zanzibar and The Zanzibar Tourism For All national development programme.
Zamani also formulates Joint Ventures with Government under Public Private Partnership (PPP) programmes to support developments of property or areas, to help stimulate the national positioning engine. Starting from the initial study, concept design through to managing the entire programme.
